How Much Does a Photo Booth Cost to Rent in 2026? (South Florida Prices Explained)

Most people pay $400 to $1,000 to rent a photo booth. Here is what moves that number, what should be included, and the fees that show up after the quote.

Short answer: in 2026, most people pay between $400 and $1,000 to rent a photo booth for a party or wedding, and the national average sits around $700 for a few hours. Enclosed booths run a little more than open-air ones. 360 booths cost roughly double. The rest of this post is what moves that number up or down, and where the quotes hide their fees.

I have been on the vendor side of this since I was sixteen, first in New York and New Jersey, then running my own rentals in South Florida. I have written a lot of these quotes. Here is how they actually work.

How much does a photo booth cost to rent, by type

These ranges come from a 2026 national pricing survey by Fash and line up with what I see in Broward and Miami-Dade.

Booth type Typical range What you are paying for
Open-air $400 to $1,000 A camera on a stand and a backdrop. Cheapest to move, so cheapest to rent.
Enclosed (classic) $450 to $1,200 A real cabinet with a curtain. Ten to twenty percent more than open-air, because it is a piece of furniture, not a tripod.
Mirror $800 to $1,200 A touchscreen mirror. Looks great in photos of the party, less loved in the photos from it.
360 $1,000 to $2,500 A rotating camera arm for slow-motion video. No prints.

By the hour, expect roughly $350 to $750 for two hours, $500 to $1,100 for four, and $100 to $200 for each additional hour. Weekends and holidays usually add a small premium.

What actually changes the price

Hours. The single biggest lever. Four hours covers cocktail hour through the last song at most weddings. Two hours is right for a birthday.

Prints. “Unlimited prints” should mean every session prints for every person in it. Some quotes cap prints per hour or charge per strip. Ask.

An attendant. A human who sets up, keeps the printer fed and helps your aunt figure out where to look. Worth it every time. Some companies quote without one and add it later.

Travel. Most vendors include a radius and charge past it. In South Florida that usually means one county free and a flat fee for the next.

Design. A custom strip with names and a date is standard now. If it is an add-on, that tells you something about the vendor.

The fees that show up after the quote

Idle time, meaning the booth is set up early but not running. Setup and breakdown billed separately. A “digital gallery” charged as an extra. A deposit that turns out to be nonrefundable inside a window nobody mentioned. None of these are scams, but all of them belong in the first quote, not the invoice.

Is an enclosed booth worth the extra?

For a wedding, a bar mitzvah or a quince, yes, and it is not close. The curtain changes how people behave. Open-air booths get the polite smile because the whole room is watching. A curtain gets the real one. People squeeze in, get goofy and take four shots instead of one. That is the memory, and it is what you are actually paying for.

For a corporate activation where the point is a branded backdrop in the background of every photo, open-air wins. Different job.

What we charge

I am not going to put a price on this page, because it would be wrong by the time you read it, and because every event is a little different. We quote the same day, usually within the hour, and the quote includes everything in the list above with nothing bolted on later. The one thing I will promise in writing: the booth is running before your first guest walks in, or it is free.

Questions people ask

How much does a photo booth cost to rent for a wedding?

Most couples pay $500 to $1,200 for a four-hour rental in 2026. Enclosed booths sit at the top of that range, open-air at the bottom, and 360 booths cost more than either.

How much does a photo booth cost per hour?

Roughly $100 to $200 per additional hour after the base package. Two-hour packages typically run $350 to $750 and four-hour packages $500 to $1,100.

Why is an enclosed photo booth more expensive than open-air?

It is a cabinet with a curtain, a bench, a camera and a printer that has to be delivered, built and taken away. Open-air booths are a camera on a stand. The ten to twenty percent difference is mostly logistics.

What should be included in a photo booth rental price?

Unlimited prints, a custom strip design, an attendant, setup and breakdown, and a digital gallery. If any of those is an add-on, ask why.
